Engage in frequent interaction with your baby by talking, singing and reading to them. This will encourage communication as your baby responds to your attention and interest.
If your baby is around four months old, they are learning more and more ways to communicate with you. At this stage, they will be smiling spontaneously at everything around them. Their soft babbling will have an almost singsong sound to it. The more you communicate with your baby and let them know that you're listening, the more they will attempt to communicate with you. So go ahead and talk, sing and read to your little one as much as possible – it's a great way to bond with them and help them thrive.
