Trafflogger is a software tool that logs traffic based on configuration settings.
With trafflogger, users are able to get a global view of network load or examine any hosts on a deeper level. This is achieved by logging in/out traffic for definable hosts and devices, which can further be refined by an optional pcap filter.
One major advantage of this software is the ability to create multiple confs for the same host/s, but with different pcap rules. This allows for a more comprehensive view of network traffic, as different confs can log web traffic, mail traffic, Kazaa traffic, or all traffic at once.
The web cgi ensures that all data is easily graphed and presented for a clear view of network activity. Additionally, users may use pcap filters to eliminate unwanted traffic for a specific conf. Whether you're a mini or wannabe ISP, trafflogger has all the tools you need to keep your network running smoothly.
