This software is a compliant trashcan for the freedesktop.org specifications, and it operates through a command-line interface.
To remove a file called "foo" and place it in the trashcan, use the command $ trash foo. To view all contents of the trashcan, use the command $ list-trash. This will display a list of trashed files with their respective dates and original paths.
If a user wants to search for a specific file within the trashcan, they can use the command $ list-trash | grep foo to search for all instances of the file "foo".
To restore a trashed file, use the command $ restore-trash followed by the index of the file to restore. The command prompt will then ask which file to restore and display a numbered list of trashed files. For example, to restore the file "foo" from the list, use the command $ restore-trash 4 and then use the command $ ls to confirm the file's restoration.
Users can also empty the entire trashcan using the command $ empty-trash or remove files that have been in the trashcan longer than a specified number of days using the command $ empty-trash
