Trend is a live data graph software that is efficient and suitable for general purposes.
Trend is a versatile tool that can be used for rapid analyzing of progressive or time-based data series using simple scripting. It is capable of producing high-quality graphics via OpenGL, with configurable colors and grid options that users can customize to fit their preferences.
This software is interactive and user-friendly, with multiple graph scrolling and shading modes and automatic or fixed graph scaling capabilities - giving users the freedom to manipulate their data any way they choose.
To run Trend, the user must have OpenGL, GLUT, and a recent C++ compiler, in addition to a POSIX system. Currently, Trend has been tested on Solaris, FreeBSD, OS X, Linux, and IRIX.
The latest release of Trend boasts several new features, including dynamic configuration of polling rate limits, maximal sync time display during latency sampling, support for NaNs and their highlighting, and memory usage reduction. Furthermore, users can now use multiple graphs in a single instance of the software, thanks to new enhancements.
Standard input can also be used via the '-' input, adding even more flexibility to Trend's input capabilities.
