TrollBridge is a collection of scripts that facilitates the creation of a personalized network authentication system.
TrollBridge is ideal for setting up a network hotspot for your business, school, or home. The software's authorization methods currently include a skeleton username/password example and an example using iButton devices.
If an unknown MAC address attempts to connect to your protected network, the software's iptables rules redirect any access (web or otherwise) to port 5280. Once there, the Apache server displays the authentication page. The system tracks authorized users based on their MAC addresses, which unfortunately makes it susceptible to MAC spoofing.
While the scripts are not 'plug and play', you can quickly customize them based on your unique situation. Ensure you modify your iptables settings and add a virtual host to the Apache web server, ensuring optimal functionality. If you require assistance, feel free to ask the TrollBridge support group for help.
