G-WAN is an application server with C servlets that are faster than static content. It is only 106 KB and can easily be edited and played. It is much faster than Apache and PHP as well as IIS and C#.
As an application server, G-WAN comes with an additional 50KBs, which allows for the deployment of C servlets. These can be edited and played with, and are just as speedy as static content. Compared to languages like Perl, PHP, Java, and ASP.Net, C can help optimize G-WAN's performance, and for anyone already familiar with the language, it eliminates the need to learn a new one.
One concern some might have with using C is safety, but G-WAN's developers claim that C can be just as safe as any other language. To see this in action, it's recommended to check out the "crash.c" servlet example. Ultimately, the best way to understand G-WAN's capabilities is to give it a shot and play around with its functionality.
