A software package offering TurboGears controller and widgets for managing feeds.
The new TurboFeeds extension is very similar to the previous turbogears.feed package, but with numerous repairs and several new features, such as support for Genshi templates. TurboFeeds works seamlessly with both the TurboGears 1.0 and 1.1 branch.
Installing TurboFeeds from the Cheeseshop is easy, using the easy_install command. You must have the setuptools package installed, and if you haven't installed it already, download the ez_setup.py script and run it first. Alternatively, if you want to get the latest development version of TurboFeeds, you can check out the trunk from the Subversion repository with the svn co TurboFeeds command.
If you encounter any problems with the TurboFeeds extension, or wish to request additional features, please visit the TurboGears trac site. You must have a trac account to open a ticket, and you will need to select "TurboFeeds" as the ticket component.
To use TurboFeeds as part of your project, simply import the relevant libraries and subclass the FeedController class. You can also specify RootController and feed options to customize the feed.
To help with the templating process, there is a sample MyPage template provided above, which can help you format and structure the feed data in a clean, readable manner.
