Tuxanci is a cross-platform game based on the iconic Czech game Bulanci.
The game features amazing and original graphics in both the menu and game environment. Despite the effort to maintain the similarity with Bulanci level and controls, every graphic is original. The menu environment is simple, making it easy to set up a game by selecting players' names and maps. Although it doesn't have many options at this moment, the game is quite easy to use, but will likely have more settings in the future.
The game has two players; the first player's control (left side) consists of W for moving up, S for down, A for left, and D for moving right, with the < Tab > key for an active weapon. The second player's control (right side) includes the Up arrow for up movement, the Down arrow for down movement, the Left arrow for left movement, the Right arrow for right movement, and 0 on the numeric keyboard for activation of the weapon.
Some of the newest updates in this game include the fixing of memory leaks and bugs that resulted in the program getting frozen or Tux appearing in the same location. When Tux teleports, it now shows up after a given period, and when you shoot from a pipe, it gets out after some time. Additionally, source code (.h files) is now being commented upon.
Overall, Tuxanci is an incredible game with fantastic features, easy gameplay, and a beautiful interface. Its use of open-source libraries offers an opportunity for users to customize and enhance the game over time.
