Twiddled is a driver designed for the Twiddler1 that functions in userspace.
The installation process is simple and requires running the command "make KSRC= all" to install Twiddled into a suitable location, such as /usr/sbin. Once installed, the twiddler1.tmap file can be added as /etc/twiddled/default.tmap.
To fully utilize Twiddled, certain requirements must be met first. These include having uinput and perl 5.6 or newer installed, as well as kernel headers.
Using Twiddled is straightforward, with options such as loading different tmap files and specifying the input and uinput devices to use. However, there are a few limitations to keep in mind, such as the lack of mouse support and a keymap interface that looks nothing like the original Handykey one. Additionally, Twiddled currently lacks key repeat support and has not undergone thorough testing yet. Lastly, it does not offer the ability to daemonize.
Overall, Twiddled is a valuable software for those who rely on the Twiddler 1 chord keyboard but does have some limitations and lack of testing to consider before use.
