This software game requires capturing two colored flags and returning them to home base, while competing against A.I. bots or human players. The game combines tag with the rock, paper, and scissors paradigm to create unique battle conditions. Win conditions include capturing the most flags within a set time limit.
The conditions of battle are created by combining a fast game of tag with the rock, scissors, and paper paradigm. And if you're looking to hone your skills, the AI opponents in the practice mode will prove to be worthy adversaries.
The gameplay, graphics, and rules are refreshingly simple. The circular arena is viewed from an overhead perspective, with the flags in the center and the 5 bases along the perimeter. Choose from 1 to 5 rounds to complete a full game, and if you're short on joysticks, one player can use the keyboard. And if you don't have enough players for a full match, you can include AI opponents.
What's more, TWO FLAGS is the first native Windows® game that supports more than two real-time joystick/joypad wielding players. And it's also ideal for older systems, as it can fit on a single floppy disk.
The latest version 2.0 adds multiple joystick/players mode, a kids practice mode, MIDI music, joystick click to start practice rounds 2 through 5, joystick pull up for restart with the same setup at the end of a practice game, and I (for information) keypress option from the SELECT AN AVATAR interface. Plus, you'll find many subtle graphics changes and replaced some default avatars, along with minor interface and audio enhancements.
Best of all, TWO FLAGS is freeware. So if you're looking for a fun and unique gaming experience, why not give TWO FLAGS a try?
Version 2.02: Added 5 player multiplayer.
