A Twitter clone has been developed using ErlyWeb software. This platform provides an alternative to Twitter, allowing users to share content, follow other users, and engage in discussions. The software provides a reliable and efficient way to create social networking applications.
Firstly, you'll need the latest version of ErlyWeb (prior to version 0.7.1, trunk is where you'll find it) and Yaws to get started. Next, install and configure MySQL, then create a database for Twoorl. You'll want to run twoorl.sql to ensure all necessary tables are created.
Now, it's time to customize Twoorl for your environment. Edit the src/twoorl_app.hrl file to include your preferred environment variables. Ensure that you compile the src/twoorl.erl with 'erlc'.
Finally, you'll need to modify the yaws.conf file to include the ErlyWeb application settings for Twoorl. You're ready to start Yaws! In the Erlang shell, type "twoorl:start()" to begin. Alternatively, you could pass Yaws the parameter "--runmon twoorl".
