TWS-ASCII is a console-based version of TuxWordSmith (TWS).
Installation is a breeze - all you have to do is unzip the package to your chosen location, navigate to the TWS-ASCII directory via the command line, and then run the TWS.py file via your chosen Python interpreter. Whether you're running Windows or Linux/Mac, you're good to go.
Once you're up and running, TWS-ASCII is great fun to play. And, of course, being open-source software, it's completely free to use. All you need is Python, and you're ready to start playing.
Version 1.2 comes with a fix for a logic bug which previously made it possible to submit invalid entries. This enhances the overall experience, ensuring that the correct amount of challenge is still present while also providing players with the satisfaction of having every move count.
