tX is a tabular XML editor software that was previously called Teddy. It provides a user-friendly interface for editing XML files in tabular form.
Additionally, tX offers a wide range of features that include spreadsheet-like editing, simplified encoding rules, streamlined cut and paste functionality, and the ability to make significant structural changes with minimal effort. Furthermore, tX provides a seamless export path to HTML.
The latest release of the software includes various enhancements, such as a rebranding from Teddy to tX - Tabular XML editor, compilation under Qt4, closing "../>" instead of for elements without sub-elements, and the substitution of ' with " for attribute-value quotes. There are also new menu icons and a German language translation. The most significant improvement, however, is the addition of a user-definable html help system in the form of a new tab, called "Help Text." This feature is a major benefit, as it allows users to display user documentation and jump to specific sections of the html help file with a simple right-click function.
To install tX, users need to have Qt 4.1.2 installed on their system. Once complete, users can compile the software through the command "qmake tx.pro make," and the compiled application file, bin/tx, can be moved to a desired location. If the software needs to be uninstalled, users need only delete the file.
All in all, tX is a powerful software that makes working with XML files a breeze. With its easy-to-use interface, hierarchical display, and comprehensive set of features, tX is a must-have tool for anyone who works with XML on a regular basis.
