UDPFWD is a UDP relay software designed for user-space operation.
All you need to do is enter in the destination IP and port, as well as the port you want to listen on, and the relay takes care of the rest. Once it receives the first packet from a given source IP and port, it selects a random local send port to forward the packet from, creating a unique source IP, port, and send port triplet for connection tracking purposes.
From there, any packets received on the send port are forwarded to the original source IP and port, or "DNAT", before being sent off to the final destination. Essentially, udpfwd offers userspace SNAT/DNAT capabilities for easy and efficient packet relaying.
As with any software, it's important to note that udpfwd does not include any authentication or authorization mechanisms, nor does it encrypt or obscure forwarded packets in any way. So be aware of this before implementing it into your network.
The technical schematic shows how udpfwd operates and allows you to visualize what exactly is happening with your packets. With udpfwd, packet relaying has never been simpler or more effective.
