ULL is a Linux launcher that manages the starting and patching of NCSoft games using Wine.
Upon launching ULL for the first time, you'll need to choose a default game and configure it. The only setting you'll need to change is Game Directory, unless you use a non-standard installation. Should you need to adjust your settings at a later time, this can be done via the Tools -> Options menu.
If your game supports repairing, you can use the Tools -> Repair function to repair your installation. When your game is at the correct version, you can click launch to start the game, or update to patch the game to the latest version if needed. For games that use a standalone patcher, clicking launch will launch that patcher instead.
Installation of ULL is simple. To compile the ULL executable, use the following command: ./configure make make install (as super user). While some error messages may appear concerning a few packages during the installation process, you can find the list of required packages in Ubuntu's Synaptic package manager.
What's more, this release of ULL, in particular, supports Crossover Games & Office. This is a helpful update for those who use Crossover Games & Office and run NCSoft games under Wine. Overall, ULL offers a streamlined and efficient way to launch NCSoft games under Linux.
