UN-SCAN-IT software easily converts hard copy graphs to (x,y) ASCII data with full scanner resolution automatically.
UN-SCAN-IT is compatible with any scanner, digital camera, or other image input device. In addition to the digitization features, it also comes with peak area integration, data smoothing, derivatives, graph rescaling, and exports (x, y) ASCII data for use in other software programs.
Users will appreciate the key features offered by UN-SCAN-IT, such as full scanner resolution digitizing, which allows up to 10,000 data points per minute, up to 25,000 data points per file, and 10 different digitizing resolutions. The software also offers user-defined unit point assignments, user-selectable data spacing, and can digitize a wide range of image formats, including JPG, TIFF, BMP, JPG, GIF, TGA, PICT, PCX, and others.
With UN-SCAN-IT, users can choose from linear and logarithmic scales, grid line filters, automatic line follow mode, semi-automatic mode, raster scan mode, manual mode, and more. The software also offers multiple digitizing modes, such as multi-line, cyclic, bar graph/mass spec, dashed/dotted line, contour line digitizing, and symbol recognition.
Additionally, the software offers live on-screen graphics, interactive cursors, standard and weighted data smoothing, cubic spline data fitting, and correction for tilted graphs and variable line thickness. Users can choose from various screen colors and TWAIN scanning compatibility (Windows version).
The data stored in ASCII (x, y) format is suitable for use in spreadsheet, data analysis, and graphic programs. In addition to all of this, UN-SCAN-IT also provides free customer support and online help.
To use UN-SCAN-IT, users must have a Macintosh compatible computer (Intel or PowerPC based), 64 MB or more of RAM memory, and 50 MB of free hard disk space, as well as a scanner, digital camera, or other comparable imaging device.
The demo version of the software contains all features except the ability to load images, and it does not include a complete User's Manual.
