copy vdrepg.jar wherever it is needed
To rebuild the JAR from the source, use make vdrepg.jar.
java [-Dvdrepg.color] [-Dvdrepg.columns=n] [-Dvdrepg.style=file]
-jar vdrepg.jar < channels > < data > [< timers >]
Note the exact order of the parameters is important.
channels - the channels.conf file. This file defines the sorting order for the channels, and every channel not defined here is ignored. (This may be an edited copy of VDR's channels.conf, but be aware that the effective channel numbers should agree with VDR's to avoid user confusion.)
data - the epg.data file from VDR.
timers - the timers.conf file from VDR. (Optional)
Options are system properties and set with -D< property > or -D< property >=< value >. The following options are known:
vdrepg.color - if set, use colored cells without border in the tabular listings.
vdrepg.columns=n - make tables with n columns instead of the default 5.
vdrepg.style=file - use the given stylesheet instead of the included one.
vdrepg.search - if set, include the search/record facility (see README.search).
The output gets written into the current working directory, creating necessary subdirectories.
