The software adds Vi-like functionality to text fields, providing users with the familiar tools and commands of the popular text editor for an enhanced writing experience.
Note that this add-on will only work with applications that use the Cocoa system. All text windows will initialize in "input" mode, which is standard cocoa text input. To enter the Vi-command window, hit the back-apostrophe key (which can be customized) and start typing your favorite Vi commands, such as 'j' to move down a line or 'd2d' to delete two lines.
When you're done using Vi commands, simply type 'i' to enter back into "input" mode. Overall, this is a useful tool for those who prefer Vi command functionality and want to utilize it in a variety of text editors. Plus, as an added bonus, it even allows the editor in XCode to behave like Vi.
