Vivid Saturation is a plugin that enhances image saturation by leveraging a channel mixer.
Other software packages have already implemented this plugin, and they usually go by the names of Digital Velvia or Velvian Colors. However, I couldn't find a similar plugin for GIMP. As a result, I decided to create my own version of the Vivid Saturation plugin.
One of the best things about this plugin is its ease of installation. As long as you have GIMP 2.x installed, all you need to do is copy the script to the GIMP scripts directory. This can be found at ~/.gimp-2.2/scripts for personal use, or in the system-wide directory, such as /usr/share/gimp/2.2/scripts for a broader application.
Overall, this plugin is an excellent choice for anyone looking to add a pop of color and vibrancy to their images. Its straightforward installation and ability to emulate the Velvia film make it a great tool in any artist's toolkit.
