vMovieDB is a GNOME desktop-based software for managing movie collections.
The software offers various key features such as the ability to play selected movies with your preferred video player, manage different types of information regarding your movies such as the year, quality, subtitles, location, genre, movie image, and even an editor for genre. Moreover, vMovieDB allows you to export your movies either as an HTML or text document, and even search for selected movies on ImDB.com.
This movie manager software comes with a lightweight and fast database based on XML, ensuring that your movies are managed, sorted, and retrieved promptly. The only requirement is to have GTK+ version 2.4.x installed.
New features introduced in the software include the ability to set an action to be performed when movie list item receives a double-click, show or hide movies listed under the adult tag, and search-dialog improvements.
In terms of translations and documentation updates, the Bulgarian translation has been updated, and the user manual has also received new adjustments. The developer also fixed a bug concerning the tooltips in the Movie Information Box and the search dialog pop-up menu.
Lastly, the developer has performed code cleanups by making small fixes over the "Play Movie" dialog, consequently ensuring smooth usage of vMovieDB movie collection manager.
