W2W is a useful software tool that enhances the functionality of iWeb by eliminating the need for a .Mac account, making it a convenient option for users to maximize its capabilities.
Upon starting the application, you'll see a screen showing a list of your sites and four buttons. The "+" button allows you to add a site, while "-" removes the selected site. The "Edit" button opens up the editing panel, and "Upload" updates the site on the server.
In the edit panel, the "Name" entry is the name that w2w will call the site, and what you will see in the list. The "Folder" entry is the local folder that contains your site, which is selected through browsing.
The "Remote server" field is for the full URL of your FTP server (e.g., ftp.my_site.com, NOT). If you need to specify a port, you can do so after a colon following the URL (ftp.my_site.com:5192). "Remote username" and "password" don't need an explanation, and finally, "Remote folder" is the folder on your server where your site resides.
Pressing "Upload" will update everything in the "Folder" to the "Remote folder". With w2w, you can use iWeb more efficiently and without the need for a .Mac account.
