Wacom ExpressKeys software facilitates ExpressKeys, Touch Strips, and Scroll Wheel functions on select Wacom tablets.
One thing I particularly appreciated about this software is its compatibility with XInput and XTest extensions in X. This ensures the software operates efficiently and effectively, boosting productivity while using the tablet. Additionally, xsetwacom, a feature of Wacom ExpressKeys, offers an automatic change of stylus pressure sensitivity (PressCurve) when transitioning between program windows. This function works independently of the connected tablet model, providing even greater flexibility and convenience.
While the software continues to expand its reach and functionality, there is already a useful graphical configuration tool in development called "wacom-config." I am confident that this tool, along with other updates and fixes, will consolidate the software’s compatibility with various devices and offer an even smoother experience.
In the latest release, version update, Wacom ExpressKeys offers minor but important improvements, including a slightly improved logic for Touch Strip movement detection, a minor bugfix related to long filenames of the executable, and two compatibility changes to prevent future breakage in relation to upstream code. Overall, I highly recommend Wacom ExpressKeys for anyone looking to enhance their tablet experience and streamline their workflow.
