WBB IRC Postbot is a Woltlab Burning Board (WBB) tool that automates the process of posting new threads, posts, and registrations automatically.
One of the best features of the WBB IRC Postbot is the availability of various commands that are designed to make the whole process simpler and more efficient. These commands include !boardsearch, which shows threads and posts that contain specific search words in the title, !boardseen, which displays the last time a user was seen, as well as the last time they posted in the board, !latest, which shows the latest threads and posts, and !topposter, which displays the users who have the most posts.
For configuration and debugging purposes, there are also two additional commands, !foren and !lastusers, which are only accessible by configured admins.
To use the WBB IRC Postbot, you need to have certain requirements in place. Firstly, while the tool was primarily developed under Linux, it should still work on any UNIX-based operating system, and even on Windows, although some ugly hacks may be required. For the internal method, where the board and eggdrop are running on the same system, you will need the command-line version of PHP (php-cli). However, if the board is running on another system, you will need to use an external method. This involves placing the php-files in a folder on the webserver that runs the board and using wget to get their output via eggdrop. This folder can also be protected via htaccess, provided wget is configured correctly. If wget is not available on your system, you can also use curl.
Finally, in the latest release of the WBB IRC Postbot, two minor bugs in the SQL code and TCL for Eggdrop have been fixed, making an already efficient tool even more reliable. Overall, the WBB IRC Postbot is undoubtedly an excellent tool that provides users with a range of powerful features that greatly enhance their experience in chat forums.
