WebStorage is a PHP-based web application designed to store files in PostgreSQL databases via the internet.
However, WebStorage includes a user activity log that records all additions, deletions, and updates. This feature ensures that users won't accidentally delete or modify files without being able to trace the actions of other users.
One crucial aspect of WebStorage is its user management system. PostgreSQL handles user management, so each user that requires access to WebStorage must have a valid PostgreSQL user account. We recommend that users access WebStorage via HTTPS to avoid transferring confidential information in clear text from the browser to the server.
From version 1.0, WebStorage has made full use of AJAX and a polished user interface that's mainly written in JavaScript. Additionally, version 1.1 of WebStorage now allows access to non-web browser clients like JWebStorage using HTTP only. If you plan to upgrade from earlier versions, WebStorage Version 1.1 comes with an upgrade script to ease the process, involving slight changes to the database schema.
When a user logs into WebStorage for the first time, they will be taken to the upgrade page to start the upgrade process. Overall, WebStorage is an ideal candidate for those who need a reliable, secure file management tool that's easy to use and has great user interface.
