Wmapcmon is a software that shows the status of an APC backup UPS on the dock.
Once you have apcaccess installed and ready to go, building wmapcmon is a breeze. Simply type 'make' from the toplevel directory, and you'll have a binary named 'wmapcmon' waiting for you in the same directory. Configuration information is stored in the ~/.wmapcmon file, which can be copied from the sample file located in the ./src directory.
Setting up your configuration is also a fairly straightforward process. In the simplest setup, all you need to do is specify the location of the apcaccess binary (which defaults to /usr/local/bin/apcaccess) and up to seven fields you want to display in the dockapp window. Refer to the sample configuration file for syntax and a complete list of fields.
It's worth mentioning that wmapcmon was created as the developer's first dockapp, with code borrowed from the 'monto' dockapp. They took the existing code and rebuilt it from scratch to produce a more streamlined version that met their specific needs.
