WMMenu is a dockable application that offers a popup menu of icons for WindowMaker, similar to AfterStep. It allows easy access to programs and functions with a simple click.
Each menu is described in a separate file, consisting of lines that contain the pixmap name and shell command to run. The first line of the file sets the dock image and the menu's title, which will be used later. The menu will automatically pop up to the right or left of the screen depending on its position.
To use WMMenu, simply enter "wmmenu [
There are several optional features available as well, including hiding the button bar only when leaving the bar instead of the tile, activating the button bar only when clicking on the tile, disabling automatic scaling of pixmaps that make them fit inside the specified tile size, and adjusting the time delay necessary for the bar to close after the cursor has left wmmenu.
Requirements for WMMenu include libdockapp (formerly known as "docklib" until WindowMaker 0.61.1) and Xlib and XPM. The latest release of WMMenu includes several bug fixes, making it an even more efficient program for organizing program launchers.
