wodFTPServer is an ActiveX Component which supports FTP, FTP/S (FTPS), and SFTP protocols. It runs on both explicit and implicit modes and implements the secure FTP subsystem on SSH2 secured channels.
This product offers seamless support for all three protocols, giving you the same set of events, properties, and methods, as well as the same level of control over connected users. If you want to switch from one protocol to another, you just need to change one property – the Protocol property.
One of the biggest advantages of using FTPS and SFTP protocols over the old FTP protocol is that both provide added security, private key / certificate authentication, and strong encryption of data, making them ideal for insecure networks. With wodFTPServer, it's easy to set up and accept such clients with the help of provided samples.
Features of this product include support for the FTP, SFTP, and FTPS protocols, as well as support for certificate and private key authentication (required or optional). It also boasts a set of events that allow you to control every aspect of a client's connection, as well as providing support for large files larger than 4.2gb.
The transparent interface is the same for all supported protocols, and there's a debug log that shows entered commands and replies sent to the user. In SFTP protocol, wodFTPServer creates these messages for you. Other features include NT style authentication that doesn't require creating accounts on your server, great speed, complete information on connected users like their originating IP address, originating port, and total connected time. Additionally, there are custom initial messages sent to the client that allow you to completely hide the WeOnlyDo! origin.
The interface is user-friendly, almost plug and play, and the wodKeys component is included in the setup package free of charge. This component can be used for private key management, allowing you to generate new keys, load/save them, and obtain public keys, making this product a great choice for anyone in need of a reliable and efficient server-side protocol implementation.
