A web-based bug tracking software with a Windows installer, offering a fully web-based experience for installation, configuration, administration, and general use. Features include filtering, sorting, file attachments, tiered authentication, and collecting feedback from external users through the web.
I was thoroughly impressed with the ease of installation - the Windows installer took less than five minutes to complete, and there is also the option to download a WAR file for other systems. The best part is that both installation and use are fully web-based, so there's no need for any additional software installations.
WorkRoll boasts several impressive features, including sorting, filtering, file attachments, tiered access, e-mail notifications, and import/export. I appreciated the ability to organize by project, status, priority, assigning user, assigned-to user, due date, dev instance, version, and even restrict users to specific projects or to read-only status.
One unique feature that is especially useful is the collection of feedback from external (non-registered) users via the web. This can be incredibly helpful when needing to gather feedback from a wider audience, or for those who may not have access to the system.
Overall, I highly recommend WorkRoll as a top-notch bug tracker with a range of advanced features.
