xjobs software processes job descriptions sequentially and executes them parallelly. It reads the job information line by line to achieve swift execution.
One of the best features of xjobs is that it combines the arguments from every input line with the utility and arguments given on the command line. This means that if no utility is given as an argument to xjobs, then the first argument on every job line will be used as a utility. This utility is then executed, and xjobs searches the directories given in the PATH environment variable and uses the first file found in these directories.
After using xjobs, I can safely say that it is most useful on multiprocessor machines when you need to execute several time-consuming commands that could possibly be run in parallel. With xjobs, this can be achieved easily, and it is possible to limit the load of the machine to a useful value. This excellent software works similarly to xargs, but it starts several processes simultaneously and gives only one line of arguments to each utility call.
Overall, I highly recommend xjobs to anyone who needs to execute several commands simultaneously and would like to limit the load of their machine. The ease of use and the efficiency of this software is definitely something that is not to be missed!
