XMLSensors are universal add-ons for monitoring systems such as Nagios, Big Brother, and Zabbix. The software functions with a range of applications to provide precise tracking tools.
Presently, XMLSensors has two sensors in its arsenal. The first is phpbb2_version, which checks if the version of the phpBB forum aligns with the official release. The second sensor, smf_version, performs the same check for Simple Machines forums. Apart from these sensors, there's also a dummy sensor that users can modify according to their requirements.
The software package incorporates the following sensors:
- Dummy (an empty sensor that can be customized)
- phpbb_version sensor that verifies the phpbb2_version against the current version stated on phpbb.com
- smf_version one that scans Simple Machines forums for the latest version from the official site.
This software release welcomes support for the XMLSensor1.1 format and has updated the license version to GPLv3.
