XXXReport software efficiently extracts all XXX and TODO comments present in any Python source code.
One of the things that I really liked about xxxreport is that it is inspired by the Zope xxxreport tools. This means that the developers have taken aspects of a tried and tested system and incorporated them into their own module.
Using xxxreport is incredibly easy. All you need to do is to install it using the easy_install command and run it on your desired codebase. To extract your comments, simply use the 'xxxreport --title=WsgiDAV ~/my_python_projects/' command, which will generate a plain text or HTML summary document for you.
Once the report has been generated, you will be provided with a clear and concise summary of all the TODO/XXX comments in your codebase. This includes the number of comments that are currently unfinished, as well as a detailed listing of each comment and its location within your code.
Overall, I found xxxreport to be a highly effective tool for keeping on top of my coding tasks. Whether you are working on a large-scale project or simply want to stay organized, this module is definitely worth checking out. For more details on how to use xxxreport, simply type 'xxxreport --help' into your command line.
