A software system designed for documentation management purposes.
One of the best features of YADS is that it's quite flexible and easy to configure to your project's needs. If you want to create a different layout template, for instance, you can do so easily since its content is "drawn" from MySQL and put into Smarty. All that's required is to work with the Smarty variables, as specified in the included code.tpl file.
YADS is extremely versatile and can be used for almost any project. Although I created it for IrrLib - my gaming library - it's suitable for a wide range of applications. The documentation systems I'd used previously were subpar and didn't display code in a similar fashion to PHP's doc system or enable comments, which I found ingenious.
YADS' content is generated "on the fly" via PHP, MySQL, and Smarty, and - even though it doesn't "cache" content - it can be easily implemented if necessary. It's a great feature that YADS isn't limited to C++ or PHP-based programs. With a simple change of a MySQL value, syntax highlighting can be changed.
Overall, I'd highly recommend YADS to anyone in need of a comprehensive documentation system.
