Zufall is a user-friendly software that automatically alters the desktop background at regular intervals.
Once initiated, Zufall selects a random image from the specified directory and applies it to your desktop background. The program adjusts the border of the picture by blending the colors of two corners to create an overall harmonious result.
One thing to note is that Zufall may not work if the root-window is hidden by another program, such as Gnome or KDE.
To download the program, you can follow the standard installation process of "./configure && make make install" or simply copy the binary file "zufall" to any directory location that is within your path.
Zufall has only a few requirements, namely X and Imlib2. This means that it is lightweight and easy to install, taking up very little system resources.
The newest release of Zufall fixes a bug where status updates were printed on image change. Overall, Zufall is a great option for anyone who wants to keep their desktop background fresh and eye-catching.
