ZZplayer is a KDE-compatible MPEG player.
Users can enjoy a seamless looped playback of video content, opt for audio-free play, resize videos to suit their preferences, or view them in fullscreen mode. ZZplayer requires Simple DirectMedia Layer (SDL) 1.1.7 or newer, SMPEG 0.4.2 or newer, and KDE 1.1.2 and Qt 1.4x, if a user wants to utilize the KDE GUI.
For Gnome users, ZZplayer requires the Gnome GUI. This latest release of ZZplayer brings with it several new features and upgrades. Users will appreciate the newly added KDE playlist, better compatibility with Solaris, improved VCD support, and the availability of more translations.
The developers also included some quality-of-life additions, including wheel mouse support, and bilinear filter support for smpeg. Esound support has been significantly improved, and a Gnome GUI is now added as well. For Netscape users, the latest version of ZZplayer can be accessed via plugger. Additionally, the configure scripts have been updated, making this newest release of ZZplayer even more user-friendly than ever before.
