anyremote2html

AnyRemote2HTML is a HTTP server that acts as a mediator between AnyRemote server and devices with web browsers. The main aim of AnyRemote is to allow wireless Bluetooth remote control for KDE. Unlike other Bluetooth remote control programs, AnyRemote isn't limited to only SonyEriccson or JSR-82 compatible phones. AnyRemote is a console application, but there are GUI front-ends available for Gnome and KDE.

AnyRemote can be used with Bluetooth, infrared or cable connections. It can also work through a Bluetooth connection with a Java client written for JSR82-capable phones, through Wi-Fi connection if the phone supports Wi-Fi, accept incoming connections from networks and has a web interface that works as an HTTP server. AnyRemote also has limited support for Bemused clients.

There are two variants of the AnyRemote2HTML script: AnyRemote2HTML, which follows "client-pull" technology, and AnyRemote2HTML.push, which uses "server-push" technology. To use AnyRemote2HTML.push, your browser needs to correctly handle "multipart/x-mixed-replace" data. AnyRemote2HTML.push isn't installed by default and can be copied to /usr/bin/ if needed.

To install AnyRemote, simply type "su -c 'make install'". To run the application, run AnyRemote/KAnyRemote with "-s socket: " option. To run AnyRemote2HTML, type "anyremote2html -a -w -s 16|32|64 -i ". For example, "anyremote2html -a 5000 -w 5050 -s 64 -i /usr/share/pixmaps/anyRemote2html".

Once the application is set up, run a browser on your device and connect to http://:5050. For additional options, run AnyRemote2HTML -h. Overall, AnyRemote2HTML is an excellent software that allows remote control access through multiple different methods, making it a versatile and convenient option for many users.
