BlockSite

BlockSite is an incredibly useful extension that automatically blocks any website of your choosing. It even goes a step further by disabling all hyperlinks to these websites, displaying only the link text without clickable functionality. However, it should be noted that while it is great for personal use, it is not recommended for parental control or access control purposes.

This extension includes site-blocking functionality that was previously removed from Adblock Plus. Simply add or remove websites you never wish to visit again through the BlockSite Preferences window, accessed via the options button of BlockSite in Tools > Add-ons or from the Preferences item in the context menu of the Extension Manager.

For those who require more extensive blocking, you can opt for whole ranges of websites to be blocked using wildcard symbols. You can also import and export lists of locations with ease through the Import and Export buttons included in the BlockSite Preferences window.

Lastly, there is a password protection option included in this extension. If you lose your password, reset the BlockSite.authenticate entry or clear the BlockSite.password entry. The requirements for this extension include Firefox 2.0 or later. Overall, BlockSite is an excellent extension for anyone looking to stay focused and avoid the distractions of certain websites.
