In this game, not only do you have the ability to manage the careers of your stable of boxers, but you are also pitted against 100 other managers in a race for the annual Ultimate Boxing Manager Award. At the end of each year, awards are given out to the best boxer in each weight division, the Ultimate Boxer Award across all weights, and the coveted Ultimate Boxing Manager Award.

The objective of the game is to win the Ultimate Boxing Manager Award, and to be recognized as the top boxing manager. You will be responsible for selecting the boxers that join your stable, determining their training regimen, and deciding how to handle any injuries they may sustain. You will also decide which fights to take, the strategies to use during the fights, which titles to pursue, and whether or not to accept or refuse fights, mandatory title defenses, or retirements.
