With the most recent update, users can also utilize new features such as getting PDF Infos and IPTC fields, exporting XML, and using the command line mode for batch tasks.
Catalogue has a powerful set of features for collecting and managing file properties. It can handle any Microsoft Office document and any Windows 2000 file (on NTFS volume), including standard summary information like Title, Author, Subject, Keywords, Comments, Last author, Manager, creation date, size, etc. It also allows for user-defined information for Microsoft Office documents and Macintosh comments for any Macintosh file stored on NTFS volumes (running on NT 4.0 or Windows 2000).
Catalogue also quickly generates outputs for predefined catalogs, including interactive reports, HTML reports for selected file properties of one directory or set of directories, XML export files with all properties for all files in all subfolders of any folder, IPTC export, CSV reports of selected file properties for future use by other applications, and MS Word reports (Word 97 or Word 2000) of selected properties. The CSV format is easily opened with spreadsheets programs such as MS Excel.
Additionally, Catalogue allows for a mass update on selected files to modify set properties values using conditions, and provides RDF export and XSL templates for further customization. With Catalogue, users can efficiently and effectively manage their file metadata properties.
