Hoo WinTail

Hoo WinTail is a log monitoring software that is similar to UNIX tail -f utility. This real-time log viewer is designed for Windows, and is perfect for viewing application traces or server log in real-time. Hoo WinTail could be used to view the end of a growing file, and can help you view the last part of a large file quickly without having to load the entire file.

This software has many useful features to help with debugging program and system administration. It has highlight filters, include and exclude filters, regular expression for filters, monitor multiple log files, support for bookmarks, minimize to systray and flash systray icon to indicate new lines written and more. Hoo WinTail is a file viewer only, and does not make any changes to log files. It opens log files in read-only mode.

Whenever new lines are written to log file by other programs, Hoo WinTail reads the new lines and displays them. In addition to this, Hoo WinTail could capture and display OutputDebugString (Windows debugging API) output as well.
