I recently had the opportunity to use version 3.8c of the Simple Console IRC BOT, which comes with source code and is compatible with WIN NT, 95, 98, 2000, and XP. As someone who values compact code and efficient performance, I was pleased to find that this bot does not use MFC shell or Winsocks, making it incredibly speedy.
In addition to its fast action, this bot can be easily controlled remotely and is capable of keeping your channel. You can even request an OP and control its actions using a specific password. The bot is set up to use the standard IRC port 6667, and an early version of the source code is also included.
