jMencode is a Java-based user interface for MPlayer which enables simple video encoding.

To install the software, double-click on the file 'JMencode.jar', if you have windows explorer configured properly to open the jar file using java or type the following at the console/terminal window inside this directory: java -jar JMencode.jar. If the path to the java jre is not already set, you will have to type the complete location of the java.exe file. Use java -Xmx256m -jar JMencode.jar to allocate more memory for the runtime.
In the latest release of jMencode, you can now do flv encoding (experimental). The output path works correctly this time, allowing you to save files anywhere. Various validation checks have also been added.
