K750iGrabber

I recently got my hands on the SonyEricsson K750i phone and was thrilled to see that it came with a USB cable. This cable is not only useful for transferring files, but it can also be used to charge the phone. However, I quickly realized that my Mac would crash every time I disconnected the phone from the USB port. That's when I knew I had to find a solution.

I did some investigating and discovered that the K750i provides not only a card reader interface over USB, but also several interfaces for modem and device configuration functionality. Since Bluetooth is sufficient for the former and there are no Mac device drivers for the latter, I decided to create a simple driver that would seize all the unused USB interfaces and disable them.

With the driver installed, I was able to connect and disconnect the K750i from my Mac without any further issues. Needless to say, I was thrilled with this solution.

Overall, I highly recommend the SonyEricsson K750i phone for its versatility and the USB cable included in the package. Just make sure you have Mac OS X 10.4 or later, and you'll be good to go.
