KSquares

KSquares is an exciting game for the K desktop environment that provides a fun gaming experience. It is a digital adaptation of the classic pen and paper game, Dots and Boxes. The objective of the game is to complete more squares than your opponents. At the start of each game, the board is empty, and players must create lines between adjacent dots on the grid.

It is important to note that, depending on the difficulty level selected, the game board may already have lines drawn at the beginning of the game. Players take turns to draw lines on the board, and a yellow indicator line appears when the mouse hovers over the grid. Once the player decides where to draw the line, clicking on the spot completes the line.

If the drawn line completes a square, the square belongs to the player and earns them a point, allowing them to draw another line. However, if the line does not complete a square, the next player(s) continue the game. The game ends when all the squares on the board have been claimed by the players.

Users can start new games with custom settings by clicking on the "New” toolbar item or going to File->New, while clicking on the reset button on the toolbar allows them to start a new game with the same settings as the current game.
