If you want to keep burning high-quality LightScribe discs, it's important to regularly update your LightScribe System Software. This software is necessary for proper operation of your LightScribe system, and updates are released regularly to ensure reliable and optimal performance. These updates may support new hardware or the latest LightScribe DVDs and CDs.
To update your software, you should first save any work in progress and close down all active programs, especially any labeling applications. Then, click on the file download link for Mac and read and acknowledge the software legal agreement. You will then be prompted to choose "Save" or "Download" to begin the file download process.
Depending on your internet connection speed, the update file may take a few minutes to download, so please be patient. Once the download process is complete, you can close the download screen and the selected file will be downloaded onto your desktop. Double-click the downloaded file to extract the installation file. The extracted file should have a similar name as the downloaded file, but will have a .pkg file extension.
