LXTask

LXTask is a lightweight task manager that is desktop independent, meaning it can be used with any desktop environment. It is based on the Xfce4 task manager, but with all Xfce4 dependencies removed, some bugs fixed, and UI improvements added.

One of the biggest advantages of LXTask is that it only requires pure gtk+, making it easy to install and use. To install this package, simply cd to the directory containing the source code and type './configure' to configure the package for your system.

While running 'configure', it prints some messages telling which features it is checking for. Once 'configure' is complete, type 'make' to compile the package, and 'make check' to run any self-tests that come with the package.

Afterwards, type 'make install' to install the program, data files and documentation. If you want to remove the program binaries and object files from the source code directory, type 'make clean'. To also remove the files that 'configure' created, type 'make distclean'.
