This software enables users to design and assess the durability of spur gears with straight and helical teeth, supporting both Imperial and Metric units. The application adheres to ANSI / AGMA and ISO / DIN standards, while also integrating with various 2D and 3D CAD systems.

The software's main tasks include automatic calculation of helical and straight toothing, automatic design of transmissions with minimal input requirements, design with entered coefficients of safety (static and dynamic), calculation of complete geometric parameters, optimization of toothing with appropriate correction, strength parameter calculation and safety checks, and the ability to design gearing for exact axis distance.
Other features of the software include complete calculation of tolerances in accordance with ISO 1328 (ANSI/AGMA 2015-1-A01), simple defining of new materials according to ISO 6336-5 (ANSI/AGMA 2001-D04), comprehensive theoretical parts included in the documentation, and supplementary calculations for parameters of the existing gear, temperature rise, design of shafts, and check dimensions.
In addition, drawings of the accurate tooth shape including data (X, Y coordinates) can be made, and the software supports 2D and 3D CAD systems, including AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT, IntelliCAD, Ashlar Graphite, TurboCAD, BricsCAD, ZWCAD, ProgeCAD, Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, SolidEdge, and Creo.
The software uses procedures, algorithms, and data from standards such as ANSI, ISO, DIN, BS, and specialized literature. Used standards include ISO 6336-1:2006; ISO 6336-2:2006; ISO 6336-3:2006; ISO 6336-5:2006, ISO 1265; ISO 1328-1:1997; ISO 1328-2:1997; ISO 1122-1:1998, ANSI / AGMA 2001-D04 , AGMA 908-B89, ANSI / AGMA 2015- 1-A01, and ANSI / AGMA 2015-2-A06.
This software module is a standalone part of the MITCalc - Mechanical and Technical Calculation Package for gear, belt and chain drives, springs, beam, shaft, bolt connection, shaft connection, tolerances, and many others. Therefore, it offers an all-in-one solution for creating optimal designs for spur gears with ease.
