Network Configuration Management

I recently tested out Network Configuration Management, a software suite that helps manage your network configuration, diagnose and monitor network performance. This package contains a handful of utilities, including IP Manager, Bandwidth Monitor, Socket to Process Mapper, Asterisk Password Recovery, and additional features like Whois, IP Information, and netstat.

One of the standout features of this suite is IP Manager. With IP Manager, you can create multiple TCP/IP settings profiles and effortlessly switch between them without having to reboot your machine. Simply configure your preferred settings once, and then when you need to switch to another configuration, IP Manager will make the switch instantly. This streamlined process is a game-changer for anyone who needs to manage multiple network configurations.

Another feature that I found incredibly helpful was Bandwidth Monitor. With this tool, you can view your connection speed in real-time, including current and average send and receive speeds in a configurable graphical display. The dynamic tray icon provides a visual representation of your send and receive activity via a bar graph or a histogram, so you can quickly assess your network's performance.

The Socket to Process Mapper is another handy tool for those troubleshooting network issues. This function monitors all open TCP and UDP ports on your computer and maps them to their owning applications, revealing which programs have opened which ports—a helpful trick when trying to identify a potential security risk.

Asterisk Password Recovery is a powerful tool for anyone who has forgotten a password hidden under asterisks. This functionality works with password dialog boxes and web pages, making it a versatile tool that can save you time and hassle.

Finally, the suite also includes a range of other features like Whois, IP Information, and netstat. Overall, I was impressed with the suite's range of features, its intuitive interface, and seamless integration across its different tools. Highly recommended.
