Barcodesoft OCR fonts aid in Optical Character Recognition tasks with six fonts included, conforming to specifications set by ANSI X3.17-1981 and ECMA-11: OCRA I, OCRA III, OCRA IV, OCRB I, OCRB III, and OCRB IV.

The ANSI INCITS 17-1981 (R2000) standard details the shapes and dimensions of OCRA characters. The Barcodesoft OCR-A font is fully compatible with this standard, as well as with the ISO 1073-1:1976 standard.
If OCR-B is more up your alley, then the ANSI X3.49-1975 (R1982) standard is what you'll want to look at. This standard defines the nominal shapes, sizes, and printing positions of OCR-B characters. Most of OCRB is the same as what is defined by ECMA-11. Luckily, Barcodesoft's OCR-B font is also compatible with ISO 1073-2:1976 standard.
These fonts not only meet the requirements set forth by the US government, but they also support Euro banking specifications and USPS specifications. Best of all, you can use these fonts in true type, PostScript, and PCL formats, and even embed them in Adobe PDF files.
With six fonts included in the package, you can pick and choose which one works best for your needs. The package includes OCRA I, OCRA III, OCRA IV, OCRB I, OCRB III, and OCRB IV, as defined by ANSI X3.17-1981 and ECMA-11.
