A software that provides improved security measures for the Firefox web browser.
This backdoor loophole allows websites to bypass basic cookie and history cleaning to track users' online footprints. Moreover, privacy can be compromised even when sharing the computer with others. Anyone can access the Adobe Storage control panel and see which websites you visited (LSO enabled).
This extension solves the problem by providing clear instructions on how to delete the Flash LSO files whenever the user cleans the standard web history. The simple checkbox (Clear Flash Local Shared Objects) can be accessed from the [Clean Recent History] dialog, which is available on the panel under the Menu->Tools->Clean Recent History. Deleting LSO files is not dangerous. However, users must keep in mind that deleting Flash LSO files will erase login credentials and other local web site settings.
Firefox doesn't provide this as a built-in feature because Flash and LSO are not part of the Web Standards, and installing any plugin, including Flash, revokes the browser from interfering with its methods. In summary, Privacy Plus makes deleting Flash LSO simple, accessible and safer than ever before.
