Explore a classic ancient board game that has been played for centuries, and discover its rich historical significance.

When you start the game, you will be assigned either the red or blue set of pieces, and they will be placed outside the board. During your turn, throw a four-sided stick by clicking the button on the screen. The number shown on the stick will determine the number of steps your piece can take. Then, click and drag one of your pieces to move it to its destination.
Be sure to watch out for the timer on the screen, as you must finish your moves within the given time limit, or else you will lose. Your pieces will enter the column on one side, then travel down, up the center column, move back to your column and eventually leave the board. The center column is where your pieces will collide with your opponent's pieces.
If your piece lands on a square that's occupied by an opponent piece, that piece will be captured, and it will have to start from the beginning again. However, if you move your piece to a square marked by a rosette, that piece cannot be captured, and you will be given an extra throw.
When your pieces are leaving the board, an exact throw is required. Make a triumphant return to receive a royal badge of honor! Overall, I enjoyed playing the Royal Game of Ur - it's a simple yet intriguing game that requires strategy and skill.
